To my faithful readers, an apology for you have missed out on a small part of my travel diaries due mostly to my undeniable stupidity. It all started back in Edinburgh around 3 weeks ago (how the time does fly) . I sat down smugly with a cup of coffee and looked forward to logging on and posting another update I also wanted to cast my mind to the future. Would I be in the South of France or would I be on my way to Travel in India. What happened next was pure sketch-show style comedy. As I left over to tap my keyboard I accidentally shuffled offa’ the comfy chair I was sat which in turn made me lose balance in the arm that was holstering my coffee. God damn over-sized mugs ! No explanation necessary for what happens next, a bit of smoke and screeching banshee of a waitress (I was both painfully embarrassed and flattered by her ’scream and run round like a headless chicken’ reaction, despite it not being her laptop).
Not one to dwell on such things I quickly packed up my dead laptop, drank my coffee and moved on. In fact I left Edinburgh that very night, this was not a laptop related decision. No I decided to crack on and finish up my tour of the British isles, I headed for Dublin.
I’m actually still here. I have friends and family in Dublin so it makes it that much easier for me to stick around and not get my lazy ass moving out of the United Kingdom. I’ve had to wait for a week and a half for my laptop to get back to me also. It helped that I had a semi-permanent address for a while.
I’m going to be posting about all the wonders of Dublin over the coming days and then out to Amsterdam I think for a few days before Xmas. I’ll return home to the family for Christmas and then crack on with travels as usual.
